COVID 19 Vaccine Clinics

COVID-19 Vaccines have now arrived, and we are pleased to announce that they will be administered through Rowville Respiratory Clinic!

WHAT TO DO:

1. Check you qualify for a vaccine at this time by reading the criteria below. You will need to bring some proof of eligibility.

2. Download the information and consent form here and bring it to your appointment.

3. Book your appointment online at hotdoc.com.au by searching for Rowville Respiratory Clinic

4. Before you arrive for your appointment please make sure that you have proof of your eligibility. That may be proof of age, a letter from your workplace (showing you work in an eligible job), a health summary from your doctor or prescriptions (that show you have a qualifying medical condition).

5. Please bring your completed Consent Form ( printed double sided if possible)

Note that the vaccinations are done in Rowville Respiratory Clinic (the marquee at the back of Wellness on Wellington), not in the main building itself. Please drive through to the small administration tent (found at the end of the carpark furthest away from Wellington Road).

6. Please wear a short sleeved shirt

Who is eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine?

Rowville Respiratory Clinic (in the Wellness on Wellington carpark) will be vaccinating patients under the Phase 1b rollout.

This includes:

  • Everyone over 70
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait islander over 55
  • All health care workers, and those who work as support staff in health care settings (including  students, pharmacy, admin, cleaners, kitchen staff etc)
  • Carers for those who have a disability or are elderly – paid or unpaid – must provide proof of official carer status
  • Emergency services personnel (police, fire,  SES), corrective services,  meat processing/abattoir workers, seafood processing (does not include retail)
  • Medical conditions
      • Immune suppressive therapy
      • Past history of childhood cancer, bone marrow transplant
      • Haematological malignancies in the last 5 years, or non haematological malignancies in the last 12 months
      • Inflammatory conditions – for example SLE, Rheumatoid arthritis, Inflammatory bowel disease, and anyone being treated with DMARDs. Does not include osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome/ME
      • Primary or acquired immunodeficiency
      • Severe mental health conditions – Bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia
      • Chronic kidney disease with eGFR less than 44
      • Cardiac disease – ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, Hypertension (on 2 or more blood pressure agents)
      • Lung disease – COPD, Cystic fibrosis, Interstitial lung disease, severe asthma (NOT mild/moderate asthma)
      • Diabetes
      • BMI >40
      • Chronic liver disease
      • Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury
