Careers

Career at Wellness on Wellington

Wellness on Wellington is continually growing and we are always eager to be joined by enthusiastic, skilled staff.

  1. Reception

We invite applications from experienced medical receptionists with excellent people-skills and an ability to work well in a busy team. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Experience with computers is essential and familiarity with PracSoft and Medical Director is an advantage.

Please send a letter and resume to our practice manager Louise Trevean at manager@wellonwell.com.au

  2. Nurses

Our nurses are highly valued by both patients and staff and there is a strong culture of shared care between medical and nursing staff. Our facility is outstanding and you won’t find a better designed or equipped treatment room in Melbourne.

Ongoing education is offered in-house and supported externally. We are also keen to support nurses with special interests and skills.

If you are an experienced nurse (Division 1 or 2) with an interest in being part of a team dedicated to great patient care then please send a letter and resume to our nurse manager Sue McKellar via nurse@wellonwell.com.au

  3. Allied Health

Wellness on Wellington prides itself on offering a complete range of health modalities and we have a genuine commitment to integrated care.

Our twice weekly medical staff meetings are open to all health practitioners to attend and contribute their perspective, and we often have formal and informal discussions about complex patients or conditions.

We hold a monthly grand round, presented by each allied health practitioner in turn, to learn about latest developments in their field of expertise and to learn more about their skills and roles.

We are currently seeking to expand our services to include orthotics, prosthetics, speech therapy, occupational therapy and optometry.

If you are an experienced and dedicated practitioner in those disciplines and would like to work in a genuinely integrated, multi-disciplinary centre with committed doctors, like-minded allied health staff and exceptional support services then please contact our practice manager, Louise Trevean on 9780 8900.

  4. GPs

Because of our location, our facility, our demographics, but above all because of our reputation for excellence in health care, we are continually growing and therefore looking for new doctors to join us.

We can offer you a friendly, supportive and enjoyable working environment; exceptional nursing and administrative support; outstanding facilities, equipment, resources and infrastructure; dynamic in-house education from peers and medical specialists; the capacity to develop almost any special interests you have and the opportunity to work with a team of doctors, nurses and allied health with a strong focus on exceptional patient care.

To join us, you will need to be a committed and skilled GP who will fit-in well clinically and culturally. (In the words of an ex-registrar: “We’re not a group practice ? we’re a team practice.”)

If you are interested in learning more about our practice, please send an email to the principal Dr David Ringelblum at david@ringelblum.com or call on 9780 8900.

  5. Registrars

We have been a training practice since 1999 and have a reputation for providing excellent training in the science, art and philosophy of general practice.

The principal supervisor, Dr David Ringelblum, was awarded the VMA supervisor of the year in 2008 and the VMA outstanding service award in 2009.

About two-third of our doctors began working here as registrars and have either stayed on, or tried other practices and returned to us.

You are welcome to contact our current registrar, any doctor working here or any registrar who has previously had a rotation here to discuss their experiences with us. Contact details will be provided on request.

Owing to the steady growth of the practice, Registrars have the opportunity to develop their own cohort of patients during their term. Registrars have a dedicated room, strong support from the practice principal and the secondary supervisors and the opportunity to learn from the entire medical team where there is a strong culture of knocking on each other’s door.

Our facility, equipment, resources and systems are all of the highest standard, as is our focus on patient care.

Training in almost any special interest can be supported here as our doctors have particular experience in procedural medicine, skin clinics, sports medicine, sexual health, family planning, paediatrics, geriatrics, palliative care and more.

If you would like to apply for a registrar position, please forward a covering letter and CV to Dr David Ringelblum at david@ringelblum.com

(Notwithstanding EVGPTs instructions, please email Dr Ringelblum, not the practice manager!)

  6. Medical Specialists

We are keen to offer as many services as possible at Wellness on Wellington and we invite medical specialists interested in undertaking sessional work from our rooms to contact us.

With modern facilities, exceptional administrative services and a significant referral base, we can provide an excellent opportunity to start or expand your practice alongside a group of dedicated GPs.

Please feel to contact Dr David Ringelblum on 9780 8900 to discuss.
